Dork

Someone that wants to be a socialite. Someone that has to pretend to be somebody else to get accepted by a group of people, usually because their life would be boring, unoriginal, unimaginative, and plain without the pretense of being this other intriguing person that people are actually interested in/pay attention to, or want to know/want around.

The actress was a natural tomboy and was naturally loose in social situations, and the dork was so impressed by her that she was everything the dork wanted to be (except a scam artist/poseur).
