Real Life Fag

Share definition
An antiquated descriptor employed for individuals who remain detached from the intricacies of internet culture, lexicon, subcultures, and etiquette. These individuals are immersed with Real Life, prioritizing avenues of socialization beyond the confines of the digital realm. dubbed as "Normies."

In the years where the internet has achieved widespread mainstream recognition, these digital nomenclatures have faded into obscurity. Ironically, the Zeitgeist has undergone such a shift, that the insult it once was is more to see as a compliment. Hence, "Go touch some grass" has emerged as a widely embraced as a insult by the people of the internet.

The specific struggle to distinguish "real life" (RL) from digital, virtual, or fictional experiences, especially when the latter have profound real-world consequences. It asks: Is the community you build in an MMO "real life"? Are the emotions you feel in VR "real"? The problem highlights that "real life" is often a value judgment ("go live your real life") used to dismiss experiences that are emotionally or socially valid but don't involve physical co-presence. The line is porous because digital actions (a tweet, a crypto trade) now create irreversible RL outcomes.
Example: "My mom said my online friends 'aren't real life.' But when I was depressed, they were the ones who called in a wellness check that saved me. The Real Life Demarcation Problem means the call from a voice I'd only ever heard on Discord was the most consequential, 'realest' intervention of my life. The care was real; the medium was incidental."

Real-Life GTA
A person who lives a hectic, chaotic, and erratic lifestyle, often caught up in criminal behaviour such as car theft, shoplifting, and taking or selling drugs. They typically have arrest warrants and are frequently seen being chased by the police, embodying the unpredictable, high-energy chaos of a video game. Known for being funny and entertaining, they’re usually surrounded by equally amusing characters, making their entire life feel like a real-world version of GTA.

Motto: Every day is like GTA.
Frank: Bruv, our mate Danny’s living in a real-life GTA LOL.
Lee: Init bruv. Every time I see him he’s on one, doing mad stuff bruv LOL.
Frank: He's always getting chased by the police too.

Lee: He thinks it’s well funny bruv LOL.
Frank: Cracks me up when he goes, “Every day’s like GTA.”
Lee: LOL.
