Early1990s The WOODS or PECKERWOOD was founded in Palmdale CA, made up of mainly Native American, Irish and Chicano decent. Pinky up they are known to be one of the most Notorious prison gangs today.

Peckerwood

A term that originated as a slur to poor, white southerners, mainly rednecks, honkies, and whiteys. But just as “Nigger” was meant to offend it is now used by blacks (Nigga) as a term used in comradeship, which has now occurred for Peckerwood. California White Supremacist Prison and Street gangs now coined the term Peckerwood or simply ‘wood’ to refer to each other. It can be used offensively or affectionately as a sign of respect, depending who you are or whom you’re saying it to.

Those Peckerwood white boys are nothing to play with, those woods won’t hesitate to put you in your place!
