the capital of Arizona, where the people act like they're not living in a giant desert (they have large fountains that evaporate into the air during the summer before it can even get out of the spout, and green grass...), can get up to too hot degrees in the summer and has almost never gotten any snow. Not a happy place to be... even the wind is hot... Pigeons are their equivalent of rats (also called phoenix-rats)

Phoenix

One of the largest cities in America. The weather is sunny and 70-80 degrees 8 months out of the year despite what some ignorant fool might have told you. The Summer is hot but it's better than cloudy and freezing winters. The Phoenix area continues to be the fastest growing area in the country and is quickly becoming the sports mecca of the US hosting the 2008 SuperBowl, NCAA BCS championship, FBR open, Barrett Jackson, MLB spring training, home of the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Coyotes, 2001 World Series Champion Arizona Diamondbacks. Phoenix has everything from extremely poor ghettos west along the I-10 corridor and south stretching all the way to Manzanita Speedway, to some of the most upscale areas in the country in far north Scottsdale. Downtown Phoenix is bustling with construction of new hi-rises and a new light rail system. Phoenix has some downsides like every other city but overall it's a really cool place to live.

Most people don't understand why so many people want to live in the desert then end up moving out here after visiting.
