classical

1) A period of music ranging from the middle 1700s to the early 1800s. Famous classical composers include Beethoven, Mozart, and Haydn.

2) A bastardization of all "traditional" types of music (orchestral, choral, etc.). Derived from the classical period. Other periods include prehistoric, medieval, renaissance, baroque, romantic, 20th century, and 21st century.

3) The true pinnacle of music in which true musicianship, expressiveness, technique, and skill are essential elements in its performance. To truly listen to classical music one must be able to listen to it on entirely different levels of thinking.

The only classical music that most people have listened to is the ambient, therapeutically-designed background music at Barnes & Noble.

Neo-classical

A genre of music consistent of the orchestration and blending together of Rock and Classical Music and the corresponding instruments. Example: Rock Orchestra - Classical string or full orchestra accompanied by rock, jazz, or country; band or solo instruments. (String orchestra with drum set, electric guitar and electric base)

Music from movies such as James Bond Movies, Mission: Impossible, or other soundtracks from video games, tv shows, or movies belong to the music genre neo-classical.

Classical

A musical period that lasted from around 1730 to 1820. Leading composers included Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven. It is characterised by complex melodies, large orchestral pieces, and many different forms of compositon like the sonata. Classical music often requires 'Active Listening' to feel the full effect of the music, as opposed to the 'Passive Listening' many are used to when listening to modern music. Classical music also rarely has a lyrical part, and can be written for any number of instruments, from one to over one hundred.

Beethoven's fifth is one of the most widely known Classical pieces, with the opening melody having been compared to 'Fate, knocking on the door.'

The saxophone was invented much later than other traditional orchestral instruments which is why it's rarely used in a classical setting.

Founders Classical Academy Of Flower Mound

The school where dress code is strict. Although the teachers are nice. The sixth graders are to stay away from since they are entirely gen z. There’s hardly any that actually have humor.

Founders Classical Academy Of Flower Mound has sixth graders that are midgets and think they are cool when they say sheesh, daddy chill, and plenty of other things that make the higher grades cringe at the fact that they used to be a sixth grader.
