A Scottish mechanical term for a part that is left over at the end of a job, ie "where did that part come fae", usually if the car works this part goes in the bin because the car works okay without it.

"blooter are you sure this car will work properly without all those comfy bits"

the Curse of the Bit

It's the curse one gets when being in the same server as 8-bit. It is when one is near leveling up in the game 'Overwatch' but can't because he/she is missing the required Experience Point amount which is 20.000 with 1000 points or less. The Curse happens at random.

A: OMG I NEED ONLY 200 POINTS TO LEVEL UP ARE YOU KIDDING ME??
B: Oof, it sounds like you got the curse.
A: What curse?
B: The Curse of the Bit
