When Karen saw that Mark, the Party Prowler from her dorm, was at the Tri-Delt party she made sure to hold onto her purse and keep an eye on her friends.

A term for a party that doesn't involve alcohol, usually before an event you can't go drunk to.

Sean: Yeah but it's a sober party, they're kicking kids out of school if you go to prom drunk.

Land Party

A misnomer commonly heard from un-hip parents and those of impaired hearing, stemming from the phrase "LAN party," where LAN stands for "Local Area Network." They often feature pizza and stimulants, such as sugar, caffeine, and guarana, can last upwards of 40 hours, and frequently cause participants to be dead to the world for a day or two afterward.
