gamer's grind

Noun. When you're on a really hard part in a video game and you keep trying and trying, but you keep on losing. Gets you very frustrated and makes you want to throw the controller through the TV. A common gamer's grind goes as follows:

1) Discovery of level/task
2) Several attempts and failures of task
3) Frustration
4) Attempts to do task through frustration
5) More frustration

This can end in two ways:

6) Random luck
7) Victory

or:

6) Take a break and come back later
7) Victory

Gamer 1: Man, I was so pissed last night, I had terrible gamer's grind when facing The Boss on Metal Gear Solid 3.

Gamer 2: Yeah, I know what you mean.

The art of dancing in the urban style which is an infusion of 80's breakdancing and early 90's body popping, this activity is carried out under the influence of hard drugs and lots of alcohol (lashings of Carling) in a random car park (this could be your local chippy, to your large multiple DIY store) in a random place. Most popular in the Burton on Trent Region of Staffordshire. Original concept by the one and only Craven Crew.

"meatgrinder", originally used by arnie in classic Predator i.e. "Bullshit all of it, they cooked up a story and dropped us into the meatgrinder!". Term used to describe something unpleasent, in particular work.

"the meatgrinder doesn't last forever" i.e. one day we will all be fat paid and be living of our pention schemes etc.
