Depending on the house rules, this could be either 1 or 2 times in the game. When there are 4 cups left on the table and you want to re-rack them, you have the options of demanding your opponent make you a "Straight diamond" or a "Nigger diamond".
A straight diamond is what people typically use, which is two cups horizontal and then a cup directly in front and behind. However, you have the option of demanding a "Nigger diamond" from your opponent (sometimes known as a sideways diamond). This is when the 4 cups are arranged in a specific manner, similar to the straight diamond format, but also different. In this case, you set up 2 cups horizontal from each other, one cup in front of these two, but then the last cup you slide around and put it to the right and behind of the front cup. This format is basically just a diamond turned 30-35 degrees to the right so it is in a sideways form.
This word started at a high school party in farmington, CT and it is spreading throughout the state and soon throughout the country as an official beer pong term. It is clearly the most effective re-rack option when there are four cups left on the table.
