Run DMC

Run DMC was one of the most influential rap groups ever. It was extremely popular in the 1980s, and it consisted of emcees Run (Joseph Simmons), DMC (Darryl McDaniels), and the late deejay Jam Master Jay (Jason Mizell). Its genre is old-school rap (rap performed between 1979 and 1993), but the band has also performed rock songs, such as the remix of Aerosmith's "Run This Way." Alas, Jam was brutally murdered back in 2002.

1.) Run DMC is one of the best rap groups around. It is a hell of a lot better than that new-school shit they play on the radio. Who the fuck is Chingy or the Wu-Tang Clan? These new-school artists suck compared to the Kings of Rock.

2.) Jason Mizell is the John Lennon of Run DMC, because some asshole shot him to death.
