A reoccurring phenomenon at salsa clubs where you dance with someone regularly but never have any real conversation or get to know them. A very platonic dance relationship. Similar to being in the friendzone

You: would you like to dance?
Her: sure

**you both dance**

You: Thank you
Her: Thank you

**you walk over to your friend**

You: Dude I think I'm in the dance zone with this girl

A place where you’re at high risk of catching the coronavirus (short form: rona or rone).

Bro 1: “Hey brah wanna come to the Rose Garden party where we celebrate that Supreme Court lady biting the dust?”
Bro 2: “Nah brah that place is gonna be a total rone zone.”

Client zoned

To be client zoned is when someone who was thought of as a friend politely rejects another's interest in a friendly relationship by maintaining the formality of business etiquette.

I thought of the contractor we hired for our project as a friend, but when I invited them to coffee they clearly had client zoned me based on their reply that they don't meet with clients outside the office and would prefer to stick to e-mail for work communication.

LinkedIn-Zoned

If you apply for a job or internship, and you get turned down, but the hiring manager or person you emailed offers to add you on LinkedIn, "for future reference". Akin to getting friendzoned, as you don't get what you wanted but the person is too nice to say no, so they offer a weak thing to make up for it.

"How'd that application go Joe?"

"Not great man, the HR rep told me I wasn't fit for the job, but she suggested we get connected on the job network site because she felt bad. I hate getting LinkedIn-zoned".

The place a person goes mentally while listening to music on their iPod or other MP3 player. Most of the time the music is house or any other type of music that has a really crazy sick beat.

Person 1: Hey dude.!
Person 2: *in music zone*
Person 1: Dudee.!!
Person 3: He's zoning, he can't hear you.
Person 1: Ohhh, okay.
Person 2: Wait, what.?
Person 1: Shut up, you ignored me so you don't deserve to be in this conversation.
