"Let me stop" is one of the few actual phrases on Urban Dictionary that is slang. Though the exact origin of the phrase is unknown, like with many, it is often used here in New York.

The search results of when you search "." on Google. It is a very large rabbit hole persisting of videos titled "Full Stop Punctuation". The videos themselves tend to be generally cursed or nonsensical. Similar results happen on YouTube, however there are less results of "Full Stop Punctuation" and Google usually shows more results.
