Tone of Text

The tone of a text message. This tone is FREQUENTLY misunderstood due to the lack of words and emotions, as is the nature of text messaging. Tone of Text can cause serious problems in a relationship.

Using the term "whatever" may be meant as "I don't care", "you decide", "I'm open". The receiver of that text message "whatever" can't hear your tone of voice and might assume you are being sarcastic or flippant or just plain rude, causing a Tone of Text misunderstanding.

When you're texting someone, and you've been texting for so long that you eventually run out of things to say.

Jordan: 'Hey Vivian, what're you up to?'

Vivian: 'Oh, I was texting Jenni, but I think we've reached a text-end.'

Sleep Texting

when you send a text to someone while your either sleepy, awoken from sleep, or just plain not paying attention, and it makes absolutly no sense what so ever.

Erik: Hey man, you going to that party this weekend?

Zach: No man, I don't want a chocolate sunday.

Erik: Wtf?

Zach: Oh sorry man. I fell asleep last night. I must have been sleep texting you XD.

Jeff had been flirting all day with Beth through text messages until she misunderstood his humor and never replied. The last text he sent turned out to be a death text.

Any human with a cell phone transforms into a text zombie while walking and texting. Common symptoms include: slow walking, head pointing down, rigid arms, lack of direction or awareness of surroundings.

I almost hit another text zombie on my bike today. Damn person wasn't paying any attention at all!
