Contrary to popular belief, love isn't a feeling. Infatuation is a feeling, which is felt (if to a lesser degree) by three-year-olds and their sweethearts, high schoolers, middle-aged people, and senior citizens alike. Love, in my opinion, is a way of living one's life to better another's. If a person is truly in love, he will give freely of himself to make the other person, in whatever way, happier. It's making one's life so that EVERY ASPECT of that life is, in whatever way, working for the good of the other's. Total, total dedication. It's also allowing that person to give back those same actions selflessly. Love, when done correctly, doesn't directly benefit the person doing the loving; it's the reciprocation of love that makes everything worthwhile.
There are no good examples; to get a good idea of love, one must experience it. There is no other way.

love is the most amazing feeling in the world.
love is when you trust, respect and adore the other person utterly; you can be yourself with them at all times, tell them anything, and never wish to hide anything from them. although you can see their flaws, you dont care, or want them to change: you love them for who they are.
you would rather be with them than anyone else, not just sexually, but to talk to them, be near them and hold them.
when youre together hours go like minutes, and when youre apart you cant stop thinking of them.
when they tell you they love you, those are the single most precious and beautiful words you've ever heard. you treasure the memories of you being together, and when you think of them, it brings a smile, everything seems that much better, and you want to tell everyone how much you love them and how happy you are.
you would put them first in any situation. love is selfless, thoughtful, and kind. you feel lucky to have them, and they you.

something that can and will take your breath away, and when it does just hope that you will sufficate and die right then and there before you feel the after effect of the pain that will linger in your soul.
"i love you", "huh" (speachless), then you see him later on and catches him with another.....(now your broken-hearted), thats how it left you. dig your own grave...might as well
