Torches are non-solid blocks that emit light.
Soul torches are turquoise variants crafted with the addition of soul soil or soul sand.
Torches can be broken instantly using anything, and drop themselves as an item.
A torch is removed and drops itself as an item if:
its attachment block is moved, removed, or destroyed
water or lava flows into its space
a piston pushes it or moves a block into its space
Torches can be placed on the top or the sides of most solid blocks, although some blocks require sneaking. Being non-solid, torches have no collision box. More information about placement can be found at Opacity/Placement.
Gravity-affected blocks like sand and gravel cannot fall if space immediately beneath is occupied by a torch. These blocks break if they fall onto a torch.
Torches give off a light level of 14. Torches also melt snow layers within 2 blocks and ice within 3 blocks (taxicab distance).
Soul torches give off a light level of 10. Due to their lower light level, soul torches do not melt snow or ice.
Soul torches repel piglins.

Minecrafter Withdrawal, also known as Minecraft Withdrawal or Minecrafter Withdrawal Syndrome (MWS*), is a mental condition that occurs when a Minecraft player (see Minecrafter) either willingly or nonwillingly such as not being able to play it does not play Minecraft for a long period of time. This may be days, months or even years. Symptoms include excessive boredom, increased desire to play Minecraft, (more so in the unwilling cases) and potential sadness and/or aggression.
*MWS is not to be confused with Cosbino's definition of the same word, which is here: Minecraft Withdrawal Syndrome.

Person 1: "I'm experiencing Minecrafter Withdrawal after a few months of not playing it."
Person 2: "That sucks, dude."

What "Minecraft: Bedrock Edition" used to be called for mobile devices. The PE stands for Pocket Edition, which honestly sounds like a much more applicable name than Bedrock. Thus, I will keep referring it to Pocket Edition.
Back then, Pocket Edition was basically a Lite version of Minecraft meant for on-the-go experiences. It was more for killing time (e.g. waiting for bus) than for actually getting invested in the game. Today however, the transition from PE to Bedrock Edition has basically turned the mobile game into full-fledged Minecraft (with some limitations of course).
