A person who doesn't do anything productive with their life after high school - no job, no school, just vibes. Can also describe the act of being unproductive or lazy in general. The word originated from the last name Duffey, a kid who famously did absolutely nothing post-graduation.
Used as a noun:
"Don't be a duff — at least try to apply somewhere."
Used as a verb:
"I was just duffin' it all weekend, didn't move off the couch once."
"He's been duffing his life away since senior year."
Used as an adjective:
"That's the most duff thing l've ever seen — unemployed and still
Lplaining."
