bestemmiare

Italian meditative practice consisting in channeling out one's anger through the shouting of colourful interjections associating the name of God and his relatives with the most creative nouns (porco dio and dio cane are good, time-tested examples). This interjections are called bestemmia.

The art was first mastered by the italian journalist Germano Mosconi.

Nowadays in Italy the practice is so common that any bestemmia can be even used as an exlamation of surprise, fear, disappointment, etcetera, varying the tone of the voice accordingly.

Examples of bestemmiare:

Ma cos'è sto telefono porco dio!
(This phone is getting on my nerves!)

Ho pagato e nun me fanno entrà! Porcaddio porco!
(I paid and they won't let me in! Goddammit!)

Dio cane che culo c'ha quella!
(That chick's got a nice booty!)

The process of befriending the best friend(s) of your best friend. Given the mutual common best friend, a relationship can easily be formed with your best friend's said best friend(s).

My best friend's friends came to visit this weekend. I instantly became best friends with them through the process of Osmosis Besties. We are now one group of real life Besties.
