Get the Scrubmug. New Zealand's tangled growth of small trees and plants under 20ft comprised of vegetation that marks a transition between grasslands and forests. Scrub is mainly made up of tee-tree (manuka, kanuka), goarse, bracken and ferns. In time, the scrub vegetation will be replaced by forest. Scrub species don't grow in the forest because they need a lot of light. You'll often find scrub on the edge of forests or anywhere forests have been cut down.
