The feeling you get when watching 2 TV shows and flipping back and forth using your remote (usually sports) and a commercial comes on the current show so you switch to the other only to find another commercial.
I was watching the Phillies and Eagles on Sunday and experienced commercial depression between innings when I flipped to the football game and there was a commercial there too.

The overwhelming sadness that you get after the play/musical you were in closes. It is very hard to treat, as it is unlikely you will ever do that play/musical again.

Joe: Not much, I've been dealing with a pretty bad case of theatrical depression. I haven't left the house in two weeks.

After you've finished reading a phenomenal book you feel lost and melancholic. You want the characters, time, places, and the whole lot to keep going forever like a sitcom or a weekly skit. A book that becomes a part of your life, those are the best kind.
After taking the place card out, Zazzy was suddenly struck with book depression. How would she ever go on without her companions keeping her afloat?
