Woody 

A metalhead or headbanger. The term originated in the early 1980's in the South Queens NYC neighborhoods of Ozone Park, Woodhaven, Howard Beach, and Richmond Hill.
A woody listened to heavy metal, wore a black metal band t-shirt, black jeans, black boots, and a black leather wallet with a metal chain hanging from it. The woodys hung out while listening to heavy metal and may or may not have worshipped the devil in Forest Park, on Jamaica Ave, and in the weeds in Howard Beach.

Just left the Metallica concert it was filled with leftover woodys from 1983.
