Get the Chicken Jockeymug. A rare hostile mob in the sandbox video game Minecraft consisting of a baby zombie riding a chicken. Introduced to the game in late 2013, the mob became a viral Internet meme in early 2025 following its appearance in the film A Minecraft Movie, released in April of that year.

Get the Chicken Jockeymug. Originated in the game Minecraft, a rarely spawning mob that consists of a chicken, and a baby zombie riding on it.
Gained some infamy when A Minecraft Movie's trailers were initially being revealed. Jack Black yelled "Chicken Jockey" after one appeared on screen, and people made fun of it. Other things in the trailers were made of, but this one eventually snowballed to being the most popular one.
Eventually turned into a sort of brainrot, with people forgetting the original context of making fun of the movie, and simply sharing it because it was the funny thing to share.
By the time the movie came out, several people, (still a large minority, though) did very extreme things in the theater when the Chicken Jockey scene came on, as an act of "irony". This included but was not limited to, standing and cheering, and throwing popcorn and soda, and simply saying "Chicken Jockey" in unison. The most extreme example was someone who had brought a live chicken into a theater.
Was eventually used in further advertising for the Minecraft Movie as it came to streaming services, even referencing the incident of bringing a live chicken into the theater.
