A title or alias used when refering to a cool friend or roommate, in place of their name.

Originates from Maynard James Keenan of Tool; but also from the conversion: of 'Man' to 'Mayne' to 'Maynard'

Usually only used between close confidants.

As a greeting:
"Whattup Maynard?"

or simply,
"Maynard!"

As a farewell:
"Later Maynard!"
