Kyuchek

A gypsy music style in Bulgaria involving a heavily oriental sound (Middle Eastern, Turkish) with bellydancing movements. In Bulgaria specifically, major record labels have taken notice of their target gypsy audience and have produced numerously successful kyucheks.

The lyrics of kyucheks are teasing, usually about a woman dominating a man and having him at her disposal (if Gloria's nameri si maystora and Sofi's stiga nomera are anything to go by). Ethnic Bulgarians have also performed kyucheks. It faces some criticism occasionally due to its total lack of indigenous Bulgarian roots.

It is especially popular with Muslim gypsies and there are other names for it in other areas of the Balkans. For example, in ex-Yugoslavia it is called čoček.

A specialty of Trinidad and Tobago. Made of dried green mangos, chili peppers, vinegar, brown sugar, salt and spices. Also known as mango achar/chutney for those from Guyana.

Also a slang for vagina, pussy, because of the pronunciation of the syllable "Kuch" like "cooch."
