basically, a pre-party except it suggests there is also an after hours. Useful for those eating doses or beans for the main event, since they take up to an hour to take effect, and may last longer than the main event.

Well son, in "the before time", finding out answers to questions was a lot more difficult, it could take hours or even days to research topics and had to be done by physically going to a local library!

A phrase uttered after saying something for which it fits, as judged by the speaker (usually it is said after mistakenly uttering a phrase that you know will come across as nostalgic in some way, often starting with the words "I used to...").
