Pseudo-idealism

- The strategy of participating in the pursuit for ideality for one’s self, by behaving in an apparent charitable manner, with underlying selfish intentions to validate and reinforce ones sence of self.

This is a false state of idealism because to behave “charitably” is to put on an act or facade. It is “do good to feel good” behavior. It’s a form of dogma, not understanding, therefore it is a false state of idealism.

“Political correctness is a form of pseudo-idealism, because it advocates for people to be dishonest or ‘dumb-down’ words and opinions in order to not offend individuals.”
