Get the chidiot mug.A kid that could be defined as "scene", "skater/punk", or "post-hardcore", that listens to horribly mainstream music and is under the false impression that by doing so, it sets them apart from everyone else. Usually very fake, two-faced, bitchy, and whines a lot. Attempts to rebel at any sort of "label" but doesn't hesitate to label others. Also pretends to enjoy hardcore/deathcore music but only listens to one or two bands that fit the genre. Guys can be commonly seen wearing pants that are ten sizes too small along with band shirts that are owned by at least 3/4 of the other kids in order to make sure that the shirt is "cool" or "scene" enough. Girls can be seen wearing skinny jeans in colors so bright they are only found in the highlighter section of Staples along with the same band shirt philosophy. Piercings and "gauges"(really called stretched earlobes but they call them gauges) are very popular. The same concept that they follow with the band shirts are followed with piercings (as long as other people have them then its cool). They are the modern day version of the "prep clique" when it comes to the stereotype of being backstabbing, two-faced, assholes that are quick to alienate anyone from the group that they don't "approve of". The girls often are super-manly in looks and attempt to cover up their manliness by applying absurd amounts of make-up to their faces. All in all the guys tend to go for a feminine look. Both girls and guys are what could be called "wanna-be" hardcore and are under the extreme false impression that the band Bring Me The Horizon is the best band in the world.

- Chindo can't speak chinese (especially those living in Java)
- Chindo are proud with their nationality, not their race.
- Born, raised, educated in Indonesia, but still being called 'chee-nah' on streets by the Natives for some reason.
- Not allowed to speak Chinese and obliged to change their chinese names into Indonesian during the power of Soeharto.
- Faced discrimination which led to the 1998 riot (many chindos were raped, killed, humiliated and many escaped to america, singapore, australia).
- Still facing some discriminations in some areas, but the two races get along well overall.
- Chindos in West Java have the same 'level' as the Natives, but not in East Java. They act as the bosses of the Natives.
- Not allowed to work for the government.
- Most Chindos are entrepreneurs.
- Famous chindos: Agnes Monica (actress and singer), Delon (runner-up of Indonesian Idol who sparked for the similar reason), soe hok gie (chinese Indonesian activist, who opposed the successive dictatorships of Presidents Sukarno and Suharto towards the chindos), most of the athletes in Indonesian are Chinese Indonesians (susi susanti, chris john, hendrawan, angelique widjaja)

Get the chido mug.The band that got a new singer, named Brandon Bolmer, formerly of Yesterday's Rising and recruited the former percussionist of Scary kids Scary Kids(his name escapes me right now). Even though they lost Craig Owens and Derrick Frost, they still sound amazing on their newest album Illuminaudio in comparison with their former albums Bone Palace Ballet and All's Well That Ends Well. They put on a good show live. Jason hale plays the lead guitar using his own style and creativity. Rythmn Guitar is played by Pat McManaman. Matt Goddard is possibly one of the coolest people ever since he plays bass in Chiodos. Bradley Bell plays Keyboard for Chiodos and sings some back up vox for them.
