It was sunk in the early stages of the Falklands war by British HMS conqueror. It was origianally the US navy's "Phoenix" World war II ship, now sold to argentina.
The HMS conqueror fired six torpedoes, two of which hit directly. The first instantly killed 275 argentines sailors, the second ripping off 15 feet of the hull, dooming the ship.
