The awkward meep is used in situations where everyone in a loud room suddenly gets quiet, and starts to look around in awkwardness. A person will then say "meep meep", like a roadrunner saying "beep beep". This will break the tension of the awkward silence in the classroom, and bring happiness and laughter.
