1. The idea that we all don't advance much above that stupid Barney the Dinosaur song, "I love you..." The most popular "musicans" sing simple stupid songs while gyrating around the stage in strange outfits putting on bizarre performances, distracting people from the fact that they have no actual musical talent...Yet everyone sings along as if it's brilliant, just like three year olds to Barney.
2. The ability of people to do or believe whatever everyone else is telling them to do or believe without thinking for themselves

Watching Rianna drag her finger along the bottom string of a guitar while people in the audience were "awed" by her guitar playing talent, I realized Barnification was in full force.

An expression that means 'unexpected semi erection'. To have a Barnsley. Derived from when Barnsley FC unexpectedly beat Chelsea to go through to the Semi finals. Used for when one is aroused by something one would not have previously expected to be aroused by. Also used to describe an erection that has just come from nowhere.
