Although the specific parameters are often in dispute, the general geographic boundaries are anywhere above (mauka of ) Menehune store. Less common but sometimes acceptable borders are Kapa’a High school and upper parts of Ka’apuni rd. Humans that reside in this area are considered as ‘Rooted’, “Kapahi Roots” or “Kapahi Strain”.
