Video tape

A lot of young people today have no idea what a "video tape" is, and might think it's a complicated and discreet suicide method, in which case they'd be horribly wrong. So i'm here to tell people about it. A video tape is a roll of thin magnetic tape with magnetic video storing. (specifically, iron oxide) To work, it needs to be decoded with a suitable machine, which is where the tape player comes into play. Finally, it uses a little motorized wheel to move the tape, and speed can be controlled, or you could rewind it. Video tapes (or cassettes) could be rented in stores, with the most prominent rental bussiness being Blockbuster, and these stores also had specific machines meant just for rewinding the tapes.

I just rented Home Alone from Blockbuster, this new "video tape" technology is awesome!

TAPE Effect

When a party is being thrown and someone either texts the host, or somebody at the party, if they can show up even though they were not originally invited.

Sonya texted Alfred at 10:30 if she and two friends could pull up to Byron’s function even though the party was already in full swing. Sonya contributed to the TAPE Effect. This and opening a pack of gum in class in front of everybody give off the same energy. Everybody wants a piece.

An audio or video recording that is sealed from the public. Done mainly by governments and large companies. Should the tape leak, they lose a lot of credibility.

The black tapes of the oval office were seized by Nixon so he couldn't get impeached.

Fart tape

A cassette tape that is left in an old-school tape recorder, so that when someone needs to fart, they press the record button right before they fart, fart into the microphone, and then press stop after the fart is completed. When the fart tape is played back, it is a compilation of multiple, various farts that have been recorded over time. The more people who contribute to the fart tape, the better.

I just listened to our fart tape, and I heard 27 of our farts on it!
