A so-called "meme" that is basically an animation loop of a 16 to 18-year-old's OC (original character) doing some random shit. The OC usually is some sort of animal-human hybrid, a furry, or someone who isn't straight. I do not know what else to put.
Guy 1: Hey! Did you see the meme I sent you?
Guy 2: Yeah.
Guy 1: What do you think?
Guy 2: ... I don't get it.
Guy 1: What?
Guy 2: I don't get the meme!
Guy 1: What do you mean?
Guy 2: It's just some animation of an emo furry dancing!
Guy 1: And?
Guy 2: Where is the comedy? Where is the caption saying something funny?
Guy 1: There is no caption.
Guy 2: Then why is this a meme?
Guy 1: I honestly don't know. I think it's called an "animation meme".
Guy 2: Yeah.
Guy 1: What do you think?

Get the Mr.Meme mug.Any publicly traded company stock that keeps going up and disregards the fundamentals such as revenue and profits when valuing the underlying company. A meme commonly referenced by the stock market community is that “stonks always go up”. Hence, any stock that goes up in value beyond most people’s imagination is labeled as a meme stock. Commonly happens with stocks of very popular companies that show promising signs of growth for years to come. Due to hype around the company and its future outlook, the price of their stock keeps going up beyond a point that makes logical sense which may or may not result in a steep drop later on once/if the hype dies down.
TSLA and ZM are such meme stocks. They went up in value so quickly even though their revenue and profits don’t add up to their current valuation

Get the meme stock mug.A meme is a theoretical unit of cultural information transmission that is reproduced (i.e. produced over and over again) on a large scale by active agents whose means of appropriation rely on the interplay between (pre-existing) biological, socio-cultural, and technological formations or assemblages.
A meme is:
- A theoretical unit of cultural information transmission that is indefinite.
- A widespread reproduction or re-appropriation of an existing cultural ‘thing’.
- Not just a veracious imitation according to one’s ability to perceive and copy.
- Not a reactive emotion (although emotions are often involved in the meme-process).
- But instead: a reproduction that is inferred by pre-existing knowledge and human intention.
- Dependent on biological, socio-cultural and technological formations.
- And on pre-existing memes that have already been circulating through culture.

Important note:
In contrast to what prevalent notions of the meme concept suggest, including Dawkins, a meme cannot be viewed as a contagious entity which 'infects' people when crossing their paths. Although some ideas, concepts, or practices may be more attractive and have a greater chance of being appropriated, memes do not act in the same manner as biological viruses.
