Usually a K-12 or college aged male, who's life is centered totally on video gaming. Mostly addicted to online games, and is totally owned by at least one like World of Warcraft. Usually look pathetic and seldom change clothes because they never go to bed, spend all their money on gamecards and newer games. Own computers that have names, and whos video cards cost more than the family's rent payment. Are also asexual because they don't have time to eat, and their bodies never mature.

My best friend is a gamerboy, I think the last time he was out in the sun was a year ago.

hardcore gamer

Apparently, what any gamer who was playing video games prior to 2006 is.

A "hardcore" gamer generally puts money down on games with actual gameplay involved. They have a somewhat excessive amount knowledge of videogames in general, but these gamers are proud enthusiasts and enjoy discussing the games they play. "Hardcore" gamers select games from specific genres and trusted publishers and have been part of the gaming industry for decades. I guess that's why they're hardcore now. Who knows.

This is contrary to the casual gamer, who has risen in prominence with the help of the Nintendo Wii and Apple iPhone. These gamers favor titles such as Wii Tennis, Wii Sports Bowling and Scrabble iPhone edition. Oftentimes, they are discouraged by the learning curve more traditional videogames require and stray away from them.

Social Gamer

A type of gamer, usually one that interacts with others that they know in real life. Social gamers mainly use consoles to video game, as in contract to "mainstream" gamers, who sit on their computers all day and lack social skills.

PC Gamer

Someone who plays games on a pc. They usually get hated on by console gamers for being snarky and rude, but only some are like that. Really the console gamers are being just as bad for hating on pc gamers in my opinion. Stop hating on pc gamers. Console is just as good as pc. Pc is just as good as console.

I'm a pc gamer, personally I prefer console
