An apocalypse themed dance.
The basic idea is that the world is coming to an end because of our preconceived notions of gender and sexual identity. The only way to save the world is for every one to throw away their ideas of gender and participate in one epic dance. Participants are encouraged to dress as if they just walked out of the Apocalypse, to cross dress, or to experiment with their own costume ideas.
The idea originated in 2008 when the Gay-Straight Alliance of a small independent school in northwest Ohio wanted to come up with an original idea for a school event that would interest the broader student body. Originally titled "Apoca-Rave", but later changed to "Apoca-Dance" to avoid the negative connotations of drugs and sex attached to the title "Rave".

Get the Apoca-Dancemug. A dance you perform, after vast quantaties of cider have been consumed.
The dance itself involves rolling around on the floor and has the option for inclusion of: vommit and shouting, though they are not always necessary. The Cider Dance is always an enjoyable experience.
