A person who is heavily invested or interested in investing in gold. Any economist who advocates gold investment or a return to the gold standard heavily. Further any merchant who trades heavily in gold.
This is usually pejoritive.

Peter Schiff is seen to his supporters as a talented economist who made some insightful predictions. His detractors see him as an socially awkward gold bug.

The opposite of a "fruit fly,"a "breeder bug" is a gay male who has a tendency to hang out with mostly straight men and shares in their "straight-oriented" activities.

Gus is such a breeder bug, he's always drinking beer and watching hockey with those dudes that work at that tow truck company.

True bug

Those tiny bastards with proboscises. Bed bugs are a true bug and they suck you while you're unconscious. The other guys in the group are also round balls with a stick coming out their mouth that they use to suck. Another example of true bugs is the assassin bug, who like their cousin, enjoy sucking you without consent.
