do you have stairs in your house

A phrase used by www.somethingawful.com goons. It is derived from an old song regarding robots; the author of the song tried to gain fame equal to that of the All Your Base phenomenon. It failed to gain much popularity, but SA goons use the phrase to this day to identify other goons.

A special response is required to correctly answer this question and let the questioner know that one is indeed an SA goon. The generally accepted answer is "I am protected." Be aware that if you use this reply without actually being an SA goon, you may open yourself up to a world of hurt.
<Goon> do you have stairs in your house
<Bob> I am protected.
<Goon> GOONY GOON GOON GOONS GOONERY
<Goon> So how about that FYAD thread about mechagirl

do numbers

"Doing Numbers" refers to when something sells alot of units or a respectable amount of units. Mostly used on forums to predict, celebrate or ridicule the performance of an album that just hit the market. In hiphop forums, arguments over successful/superior albums can sometimes result in comparing Soundscan/Hits Daily Double sales.

For an album to "do numbers", usually it needs to sell AT LEAST 100k in the first week, go #1 on the chards, and go GOLD or PLATINUM at some point.. otherwise it is a dud
The J.Cole album is coming out after being pushed back 5x, it has no buzz behind it, i doubt it'll do numbers

Do a barrel roll!

Comes from Starfox 64. A character would command fox to do a barrel roll in order to prevent being shot to deadness.

A barrel roll is when a fighter pilot makes his ship turn over, very quickly, in mid-air. It makes the wings harder to hit.

It's more common practice to shout this phrase at friends while they play video games. Especially if they can't do anything roll-like. The purpose is to be obnoxious, and quote old video games. Two of most peoples' favorite things.
"Son of a white boy, my Sim will not stop crying!"
"Quick, do a barrel roll!"
