Get the Kanye west mug.In the key west community, one would get labeled as having a Key West Dog Tag when a pieces of eight set in a silver or gold charm from the Atocha or other Spanish shipwreck is worn around one’s neck.
The Atocha Story
1. The Shipwreck (1622)
On September 6, 1622, the Spanish treasure ship Nuestra Señora de Atocha, part of King Philip IV’s Tierra Firme Fleet, sank in a powerful hurricane near the Florida Keys. About 260 people died, and massive amounts of silver, gold, and other valuables were lost.
2. The Lost Treasure
The ship was carrying over 1,000 silver bars, along with gold and other precious cargo. Most of the treasure belonged to private individuals. About four tons were royal tax revenue, and 133 silver bars were packed in 34 boxes marked with the red crown of King Philip IV.
3. The Discovery (1985)
After more than 350 years of failed search attempts, the wreck was finally located on July 20, 1985, by Mel Fisher of Treasure Salvors, Inc., who discovered a large portion of the silver cargo and part of the ship’s lower hull.

Get the Key West Dog Tag mug.The recognition that the Western model of rationality—with its emphasis on universal logic, formal proof, and objective truth—is not the only model, and that alternative rationalities exist and are valid. Post-Western Rationality doesn't reject reason; it pluralizes it. It argues that different cultures, different traditions, different contexts have developed different ways of reasoning, different standards of validity, different conceptions of truth. These are not failed attempts at Western rationality; they are different rationalities altogether. Post-Western Rationality is the philosophy of cognitive diversity, of the recognition that reason is not one thing but many.
Example: "He'd been taught that Western logic was just logic—the only way to reason properly. Post-Western Rationality showed him otherwise: other cultures had other logics, other ways of knowing, other standards of validity. These weren't primitive; they were different. He stopped judging other rationalities by Western standards and started learning to think in new ways."

Get the Post-Western Rationality mug.The explicit alignment with Western imperial powers, colonial projects, and geopolitical interests by individuals or groups who may otherwise identify with anti-imperial or anti-colonial traditions. Pro-Western Campism is the positive formulation of Reverse Campism—the active choice to camp with the West, to defend its institutions, to justify its interventions, and to adopt its framing of global conflicts. This alignment may be rationalized through exceptionalist arguments (the West is different), through appeals to lesser-evilism (the alternatives are worse), through adoption of Western liberal values as universal standards, or through simple capture by Western institutions and funding. Pro-Western Campism describes the intellectual and political position of those who, whatever their origins or rhetoric, consistently find themselves on the side of Western power in global conflicts.
Example: "His editorials always ended up justifying Western intervention, no matter the context—not because he'd thought each case through, but because Pro-Western Campism was his default position, the lens through which he viewed all geopolitics."
