Mississippi Gentleman 

A style of upper lip hair, or mustache, that is grown for the month of Movember by a facial hair novice. The growth begins with good intentions and lofty goals of achieving facial hair glory like a Tom Selleck, Dapper Dandy, or the Bandito. The male feels his new nose foliage elevates him to a distinguished member of society. But alas, his proud fur patch is no grander than the unkempt brown lawn of a poorly educated Mississippi man who uses strings of partly burnt out Christmas lights to illuminate his beer can filled trailer.

Jamie tried to go all in for Movember, but never accomplished more than a scraggly Mississippi Gentleman.

(noun) (plural = gentlemen) A primitive form of man, more evolved than Neanderthal or Cro-Magnon but too naive to survive in modern times.

Gentlemen were mostly wiped out by feminism in the 1980s and 1990s and replaced by modern man. The inherent weakness of gentlemen was their failure to recognise women as competition. They therefore wasted significant amounts of energy pandering to the female sex and were exploited at every opportunity by the latter.
