Britannian paradox

The britannian paradox is a historic situation where in a Roman britannian governor uses the entire britannian Roman army to attack Rome, but while doing so leaves Britannia to rot.

When this happens he loses all his support back home and can't afford to pay his large army(which is the only thing giving him the ability to take Rome).

The britannian paradox played out often, but as Hegel said, all we learn from history is that we learn nothing from history.

The paradox in where women will blindly call each other gorgeous, but when compared to eachother forget said claimed beauty

Urban Dictionary Paradox

When you try to make a joke definition of an Urban dictionary link, but it says can't contain links in the definition, so you remove the link and submit it, thinking the problem is resolved and your funny joke is through. But then it says definition must have word in it, but the word is the source of the other problem.

Human: I can't wait to joke about urbandictionary's blog page!
*Human goes to website, adds definition, writes 'funny' definition, presses submit*
Website: There was 1 error that prohibited this form from being submitted (Links)
Human: Ok then, I will remove the link.
Website: There was 1 error that prohibited this form from being submitted (Not having the word in the example)

The “Stepford Paradox”

The stepford paradox is an ironic situation that occurs when life seems very rythmic and mundane day in and day out that it starts to seem odd. Liken to, if not insane.

The “Jones” are cutting their grass at 7:43am just like they have on every Tuesday morning for the last 7 years. It makes me feel like I’m living in The “Stepford Paradox”
