Despite the hefty fees, they still expect students to bring extra money for bus drivers and nannies. Meanwhile, they neglect teachers’ salaries and waste money on pointless projects, like shrinking the library to create more Arabic rooms when there were already enough. Supplies for students are neglected—glue sticks without lids, bitten pencils, and almost no pens. The so-called “canteen upgrade” only raised food prices and left us with barely any space to sit during lunch.
There are a few amazing teachers, like Mr. Louw, the best biology teacher ever on the other hand we have teachers whom DO NOT give a single particle of shit about us students, drowning us in homework via a poorly functioning website. Favoritism is another issue; outspoken students get all the attention while the rest are ignored or targeted—looking at you, Ms. Goveas (still waiting for that retirement).
The students are another problem. Many spread rumors and target others, despite their own messy histories. For example, one student thought it’d be a great idea to hook up in the staff toilets on an isolated floor. They got caught, and the drama spread so much that even primary kids knew about it. The school clearly can’t handle issues properly.
And the uniform policy? Dr. Plum acts like a fashion police officer, sending kids to reception for hours because their shoe soles aren’t completely black.
