One member is constantly hating on other members of the group that are playing games (alone or with other members) that they are not currently playing or like.

Hey, Joe is hating on us for playing Minecraft for no good reason, He must have the Lax Effect.

The Jerry Effect

The Jerry Effect occurs in the fantasy football league "Get the Belt or Go Home" and ONLY applies to the user Justin and his teams DaBears, Racing With Ruggs, and Waiver Wire Boys. The Jerry Effect is when the user Jerry is out of the league, Justin is winning championships. However, when Jerry is in the league, Justin is not even making the playoffs, and is most likely in last place. This is because the rivaly between Jerry clouds Justin's mind and leads to him making bad moves in fantasy football in order to compete with Jerry. (The Jerry Effect has nothing to do with Jerry winning or losing games)

The Babbo Effect: The act of engaging in having all the available resources, each used to fulfill an individual purpose. Just to neglect, and use each one for all the wrong reasons; furthermore denying all reasonable acquisitions towards how you're engaging in activities.

You spent all that money on something, just to fall into The Babbo Effect's trap.

When a game receives a massive amount of hype and then turns out to be a hopeless disappointment. Based on the game Destiny which was over-hyped and then sucked.

Guy one: " I thought TLOU 2 was going to be amazing like the first one! They ruined the story and made it complete shit!"

The Flippity-Floppity-Floop Effect

When people (typically white people) start using the metaphors, cadence or slang of another culture simply because it sounds cool, and not because they are familiar with the culture. The effect occurs when the linguistic traits become widespread enough to become diluted and meaningless, and are dropped entirely by their originators.

The word "flippity-floppity-floop" came from South Park, when the issue of language gentrification was briefly touched on (whether intentional or not) in the episode "South Park is Gay". Wherein Chef describes how black people began using the word because white people started saying "hizzouse" and "hizzizouse", with the scene humorously ending with Mr. Garrison using the new word much to Chef's chagrin.
