Sometimes a girl will approach a DUFF and start to flirt but after a while will begin to ask questions about another hotter member of the group.

Every group of friends has one. The duff is someone who makes the rest of the group look better. The duff hides the rest of the group's flaws.
However the duff doesn't technically have to be ugly or fat, they could just be not as good looking, or maybe they are more approachable.
To know if your the duff just think have any guys/girls asked things about you or have they only spoken about your friends?
An even easier way to find out is to look around your group of friends and if you can't spot the duff then it's probably you!
Then again EVERYBODY is someone else's duff, so there's no need to worry. You are a duff.

Get the duff mug.In online gaming, a duff is an inexperienced player who uses a new account to deceive other players into thinking he's a experienced player (smurf). The purpose is to frighten other player to thinking they are a experienced player and make them play worse thinking they have already lost. The expected result is to get easy wins thinking they are skilled by tricking the other players and get wins. The outcome is shown pretty quickly when the obviously don't have the experience to keep up after a few games.
So yesterday while playing CoD I saw this new account and was frighten it was a smurf, it was pretty easy to realize it was just a duff and I pwned him. Got to love dumb noobs.
