Skiving is Scottish slang for skipping/ditching/bunking something like work or school
mainly used by Highschool kids to describe deliberately missing a class they didn't like

also it could be used in England I'm not sure though since I'm not English but maybe they do, I wouldn't know lol

When you want a sip from your friends drink but they don't want you to put your lips to their can/bottle so you tilt your head back and they pour it into your mouth or you pour it yourself.

Back in highschool everyone would be skying their friends Arizona Tea so their lips didn't indirectly touch.
