A name for a hillbilly, particularly ones from mountain country. Examples include Clem, Bocephus, and Zeke. Female Appalachian Appellations include Daisy & Ellie Mae. Of course, hillbillies do not use the term themselves, since they can't pronounce the word APPELLATION.
"Hi, I'm Bocephus Billy-Bob Burgundy."
"What kind of name of Bocephus?"
"Why, that thar's a Appalachian Appellation."

1. A person from the southern part of the united states such as Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi who routianely shop at Walmart or K-mart without shoes on, cut off shorts, and Dale Earnhart t shirt that have not bathed and only use outdoor toilets.

A potent alcoholic beverage made by mixing Mountain Dew with moonshine and so named because of its popularity amongst the people of Appalachia. Appalachian Punch is known for being highly intoxicating and for its role in causing tooth decay.
The intoxicated teens were found unconscious, their teeth long ago rotted out of their skulls from years of drinking too much Appalachian Punch.
