During some playful banter with local weatherman Nick Gregory, legendary New York broadcaster Ernie Anastos complimented Gregory, by saying, "It takes a tough man to make a tender forecast, Nick."

Looking confused, Gregory responded, "I guess that's me."

Without missing a beat, Anastos continued, "Keep fucking that chicken."

Keep fucking that chicken

A reference to a joke about a man going to a whorehouse.

Shortened version: A man goes into a whorehouse and says he's jaded and wants something completely different, so he's told to go into a room where he sees a chicken. He says, "What am I supposed to do with that?" He's told, "You're supposed to fuck it!" So he shrugs, takes his clothes off, and starts chasing the chicken around the room, but after 20 minutes, clawed, pecked and bleeding, he gives up. He walks out of the room and down the hall, where he sees a group of people looking through a window at a woman having sex with a donkey. "That's disgusting," he says. "That's nothing," one of the men says. "A few minutes ago there was a guy trying to fuck a chicken!"

Thus the phrase, "Keep fucking that chicken."
