The Cicierega Effect

The Cicierega Effect (named for Neil Cicierega) is when *literally nobody can spell your name without having to google it*. Whoever decided what your last name is was an absolute dick.

The namesake itself is only a mild example. Cases of it can be found in names of other things, for example places (Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaunga­horonukupokaiwhen­uakitanatahu, Tweebuffelsmeteenskootmorsdoodgeskietfontein), or departments of governments (Mannanafnanefnd), but it's mostly in human names, perhaps because names of other things have a tendency to be memorized by nerds.

Haunted cities principle

The principle advanced by some parapsychologist that there are thousands of ghost that haunt the world's large cities because that is where the most people live and when they die some of them become earthbound and haunt the cities. And over the years those cities acumulate more and more ghost Also many ghost like to be around where there are a lot of people because they like the energy that comes off them and they can use that energy to remain earthbound.
So when you see a person on a street corner in a large city it is probably just another person but there is a chance it is not.

Wiki Citers

1. A lazy class of Wikipedia Editors that take no time to research content, but rather vandalize a Wiki article with numerous "Citations Needed" Tags. 2. People that do not contribute in any meaningful way to Wiki profiles. 3. So-Called Editors that place "Citations Needed" tags on common info that can not be sourced. 4. Vandals.

Wiki Citers are such a waste of life. It would take 5 minutes to find valid sources to backup profile content. Instead they just blanket the profiles with Citations Needed tags, instead of helping Wiki's look professional.
