On a group text, this is the person who always takes the contradictory view of reasonable and logical thoughts and ideas, no matter how ill-informed, uneducated, and ridiculous the opposing view is. Often these texts are not responded to or simply met with a smile and nod. Unfortunately, the root cause of "Dans Advocate" is untreatable mental illness, and more often then not exacerbated by alcohol, THC, opioids, or any mood altering drug available (or a combination thereof).

Get the Dans Advocatemug. The seeming devil's advocate stance game developers take on game forums when you go through them, and see the devs disagreeing with every idea people raise, until you begin to realize that people just love to request stupid ideas.
Idiot: I think that rogues should be able to tank since they are currently only a dps class. It's not fair to limit our options.
