Hit by a truck

If someone's intestines are not laying on the ground, they don't look like they got hit by a truck. If they don't get airborne, they didn't go flying. Stepping backwards a few feet isn't the same thing as getting knocked airborne for many yards.

The guy stepped backwards a few feet to keep his balance after being pushed.
