paradoxy

1. The state of being paradoxical (Webster's)
2. In theological terms, it is the act of believing in something you know to be completely untrue. eg. people who follow the norms of a religion, believing that it will make them more worthy in the eyes of a god(s) that they do not believe actually exists. Examples are most Christians, Jews, Hindus, Muslims, and other less popular religions.
"My father was a believer of Jewish Orthodoxy. I, on the other hand, am a believer of Jewish Paradoxy. I don't believe in this stuff, I just wear the duds to get chicks."

hippo paradox

When reality turns out to be night and day from a reasonable and logical guess of the

evidence.
The phrase refers the skull of a hippo, which to someone who had never seen the live animal, would

likely assumed it to look like Picture 1, and nowhere near the real animal (see link)

Millennial Paradox

This is the process of being both fully aware of something, and also being completely ignorant of it at the same time.
Demonstrated perfectly by Millennials who are 'fighting the cause', but have no chuffing idea what is really going on.

"tell me more about prostate cancer"
"well, erm, Movember is for prostate cancer. And it's cancer. Of the prostrate sic"
