According to Wal-Mart it means appointing people based on sex and race without qualifications. This holds true only if the applicant is female and/or black.

Another word used for discrimination in todays culture.

We are promoting diversity in our company!

Diversion

A way to get people to focus on something else, such as when somebody wants to take people's attention away from similarities between their own country and a near-dictatorship and distract them with a story about a country overseas somewhere.

The girl told a story about Belarus, which despite her description of the country as being a near-dictatorship, was one of the few countries that wasn't on a lockdown at this time. It was a good diversion from events in her own country.

Pit Diver

An ambitious law student so inquisitive that time spent in class no longer suffices. This student is the first person to ambush the professor during break or after class, unconcerned with the possibility the professor may also want a break. While other students contemplate a cup of coffee or are packing their bags, this student races to the professors side with some far flung question or comment on the day's lesson, seemingly in an attempt to impress the professor.
